Mia & Christian: A Breathtaking Houston, TX, Boho Wedding

Mia and Christian liked each other so much on their first date they went on a second one later that day—and that feeling hasn’t gone anywhere, as the two tied the knot this spring. 

After getting engaged on a hike in Colorado, this outdoorsy couple planned a gorgeous bohemian wedding filled with natural beauty that we can’t get enough of.

When planning, Mia knew she wanted something elegant yet laid-back. Choosing a venue that took advantage of the gorgeous scenery was a priority:   “We wanted a naturally beautiful space that we didn’t have to do much to. The trees at our venue meant a lot to us, and all the windows in the chapel made for a great view!”   We couldn’t agree more—sometimes you really can’t beat what’s already around you.

Using the gorgeous greens and blues of the venue throughout the day, Mia put her bridesmaids in varying shades that gave an effortless yet put-together look to perfectly reflect the style of her wedding. Despite unexpected changes in plan (can you imagine the coordinator cancelling the day before?!), the entire was absolutely stunning. 

“We had a very simple, beautiful day. Our day of coordinator cancelled the day before, so our families came together to run the entire day, from decorating to coordinating. It was just the best day. We had an earthy, boho theme with a lot of greenery and muted earth tones. My bridesmaids all wore a different color dress, and they set the color scheme for the entire event!” 

We love the sentimentality of family working to coordinate last-minute—what a perfect, unplanned way for their wedding to become that much more special. 

We'd be remiss to not talk about these stunning florals—the unique combination of succulents, feathers, eucalyptus, and roses makes a jaw-dropping look. Really, could the bridesmaid dress match this any more perfectly? This cool-toned color scheme is everything!

Mia wore our Meredith gown on her wedding day, with the gorgeous lace working perfectly to match the boho tone of her wedding day.   “I loved how unique the dress was. My mother-in-law pulled it for me, and I fell in love with it instantly. I’m not girly in the slightest, so I never pictured myself in lace flowers, but somehow the dress is completely ‘me’ in its own way.”   Okay, how perfect that her mother-in-law knows her so well? The elegant, effortless off-the-shoulder neckline fits Mia’s style perfectly.

After the ceremony, guests danced the night away to celebrate Mia & Christian's marriage. Surrounded by family and friends, the couple ended their wedding day with a shimmering sparkler exit.
