Real Bride Stories: Family Friendly Cheshire Ceremony with Emily

At Martin Thornburg, we absolutely love connecting with the real brides that wear our wedding dress designs and feel honored getting an inside look at the true love stories behind them. Introducing our fabulous real bride of this month: Emily!

After meeting at work and dating for four years, Emily’s husband popped the question during the peak of lockdown, totally surprising her during a “date night in.”

For their romantic ceremony, the lovely couple selected the Mere Court Hotel in Cheshire. The stunning property is situated on a sprawling 7 acres of land, perfect for the fun and family-oriented wedding the couple was dreaming of. They decided on a lovely pink and navy color scheme to make the venue true to them. 

And now onto our favorite part: talking about Emily’s fabulous bridal gown of course! 

Emily found the wedding dress of her dreams - the Torrence from our collection, no less - at Bethany Hannah Bridal in Cheshire. Emily shares that she first fell in love with the dress for the intricate back details and joked “it also complimented my bum!” Very cheeky, Emily!

The newlyweds welcomed this new chapter of their lives by dancing to “This Place O Yours” by a local band called The Lathums, which was the first concert the couple went to together. So romantic! 

Emily advises brides to “soak up every second of your special day. It goes far too fast.”
